Swiss QR-Bill: New Requirements from November 2025
From November 22, 2025, Swiss banks will only accept structured addresses in QR-bills.
What's changing?
From November 22, 2025, Swiss banks will only accept structured addresses (Type S).
Unstructured addresses (Type K) will no longer be processed. This affects both creditor and debtor addresses.
Type S vs. Type K
Structured (Type S): Street, house number, postal code and city as separate fields.
Unstructured (Type K): Free-form address text. Invalid from Nov 22, 2025.
GrandTotal 9 supports new requirements
GrandTotal version 9 and later automatically creates structured addresses (Type S) for creditors and debtors. Your QR codes will remain valid after November 22, 2025.
GrandTotal automatically separates street and house number. Customer data does not need to be updated.
You can verify your QR codes at any time with the Swiss QR-Code Validator.
Important: Older versions of GrandTotal cannot generate valid QR codes from November 22, 2025.
Update in time: Update 1-2 months before the deadline so QR codes work on the due date.
